Designer’s Note

Living near the sea, I have always been drawn to wind-dependent sports. When testing our paragliding wings isn’t possible, I enjoy exploring the technical coastline near my home—the very place where the idea for the first RAM-air ParaWing P.T. was born. I was immediately captivated by the freedom a para wing provides, yet I felt that the current single-skin wings lacked needed performance. With a background in airfoil design, I spent a long time experimenting with different prototypes. Now, I believe we are offering the market something truly unique—something that will bring new sensations to this emerging sport. Designing this para wing has been an exciting journey, and I hope riders will experience and confirm the ideas I brought to life through their own adventures. I can’t wait to see how this sport evolves from here.

Who Is It For?

The P.T. excels for riders who use the para wing in more technical areas, where high upwind performance is essential to reach the best spots for catching downwind lines or simply free ride and covering ground or sea with lots of power and performance. While the wing is designed with foiling in mind, it is highly versatile and performs just as well on snow, ice, or land. Its potential is limited only by the rider’s imagination. The inflated airfoil enhances the rider’s comfort, maintaining a stable and predictable profile at any angle of attack. This is made possible by the innovative Servo Chamber Bar, which ensures smooth and responsive handling. P.T. stands for “Performance Wing”—a design crafted to take you to places easier and faster than ever before.

Engaging the Downwind Option

The P.T. wing is a fully functional Ram-Air wing, renowned for its superior performance. It features specially designed nozzles that facilitate deflation when opting for a parawingless downwind run. While it packs slightly larger, this was not an issue during our prototype testing, even for longer runs. In more technical areas with shorter runs, the P.T. wing allows you to fly the waves while holding the lines. It remains ready for instant reinflation whenever you decide to move or head upwind again.

Effective Drainage System

We understand the critical need for a wing to perform at its best immediately after being retrieved from the water. That’s why we’ve equipped the P.T. Wing with an innovative drainage system, strategically positioned along the entire trailing edge.This design ensures that a significant portion of water escapes the wing as soon as it is lifted, minimizing downtime and maximizing performance. A specially engineered mesh works in tandem with air permeability, utilizing water tension to retain optimal aerodynamic properties. While Triple Seven boasts extensive expertise in the development of Ram-Air wings, the P.T. wing has been innovatively crafted with meticulous attention to every detail of its internal construction. By incorporating diagonal supports and tension straps, we successfully reduced the number of lines, ensuring a super clean profile across all flying conditions. This also increases the overall performance L/D ratio, resulting in impressive upwind angles and enhanced towing power when needed.

With the P.T. wing, we carefully selected the finest materials available. The lightweight canopy is essential, crafted from fabric that retains its shape and durability over an extended period. Our color-coded lines are designed for optimal performance and strength, enhanced by a water-repellent coating to ensure reliability in various conditions.
